For this edition of Brianna on the Beat, I asked students and staff what they were looking forward to this school year and what they were dreading. Here were their answers:
Lucy Mann, Junior: Excited for BCA! She is studying graphic design and video production. Dreading English 3–it might be a lot of work.
Mrs.Weber, English Teacher: Looking forward to getting to know all her new students. Dreading grading the large number of sophomore papers.
Ellie Huette, Junior: Excited to play sports and attend homecoming and prom. Dreading the ACT.
Autumn McConnell, Senior: Excited for graduation. Dreading not being able to see her friends after graduation.
Christian Evans, Junior: Excited for free internet, free time, and being with my girlfriend. Dreading having a bunch of homework and not enough time to do it.
Mrs. Cordell, Art Teacher: Excited to get back with kids and see what they think of for projects. Dreading getting up early for school.
Mr. Landers, Principal: Excited for air conditioning, a new school year, and new adventures. Dreading nothing for the year!
Olivia Payne, Sophomore: Excited for Art, specifically drawing and painting. Dreading Biology, mostly the hard assignments and having to ask a lot of questions.
Kane Kearfott, Senior: Excited for basketball. “We are going to be pretty good this year.” Dreading the 3rd quarter when, “Nothing really is going to happen, and it is robotic.”
