“I won’t be accepted into any of my first choice universities, or I’ll only get into a university that doesn’t teach my desired course of study.” -Fretful student
I’m only a sophomore, and I worry about this too. I don’t even have a plan for college or university. My suggestion would be to go with the flow. You’re still in high school, there’s still time to work things out. You also haven’t been rejected from any schools, I don’t think. Don’t freak out. As FDR famously said, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”
“I’m afraid that I’m gonna trip going up the stairs in front of a lot of people.” -Worried classmate
I can promise you almost everyone has tripped up or down the stairs. I fell like three times my freshman year. People are more likely to check if you’re okay than to laugh at you. Pay attention to the stairs and not other things, like phones, messing around with friends, or homework.
“Is Driver’s Ed hard?” -Dismayed high schooler
I personally didn’t like the popcorn reading the most. When you first start Driver’s Ed, you begin reading the Illinois driver handbook, and Mrs. Williams has us go up and down rows and read paragraphs. Some of the assignments were hard, but overall, the class wasn’t bad. Just like in any class, if you study, you’ll pass.
